In the enchanting world of *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* set in Feudal Japan, love and romance can flourish, depending on your actions as a player. Here's a comprehensive guide on how to and who you can romance in this thrilling installment of the *Assassin’s Creed* series.
Romance isn't a new feature in the *Assassin’s Creed* franchise, with memorable romantic encounters in *Odyssey* and *Valhalla*. However, *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* introduces a unique approach to this element. Both protagonists, Naoe and Yasuke, have the opportunity to pursue romantic interests. Players can choose whether these relationships evolve into fleeting flings or enduring love stories, even with canon mode activated.
It's important to note that a single choice with a heart icon won't lock you into a relationship, but the reverse is also true. For instance, in my playthrough, an early decision to bypass a flirty option with Gennojo affected a later attempt to escalate the relationship, as he remembered my initial choice. Therefore, it's crucial to keep your romantic options open, as you might find yourself drawn to different characters at different stages of the game.
Both Naoe and Yasuke have specific romantic options in *Assassin’s Creed Shadows*, with each protagonist having unique potential partners. The game includes both heterosexual and same-sex romance options, catering to a diverse range of player preferences. Here are the romantic options I've encountered:
That wraps up the *Assassin’s Creed Shadows* romance guide, detailing who you can romance and how to do it. Whether you're looking for a deep connection or a brief romantic interlude, the choices are yours to make in this beautifully crafted world.
*Assassin’s Creed Shadows* is now available on PlayStation, Xbox, and PC, offering players a rich tapestry of adventure and romance in Feudal Japan.
