While manual plating remains an option, the self-repairing feature ensures you're always protected.

Obtaining the Gold Armor Vest: A Step-by-Step Guide

1. Acquire Statue Heads: Locate two statue heads inside the Dark Aether Nexus. These are found within destructible wooden boxes; use melee attacks to break them open.

   

   • One box is near a palm tree in a corner of the Dark Aether Nexus, close to the green Gateway portal.
   • The second is easily spotted near the Juggernog Perk Machine on the same raised platform.

2. Repair the Statues: Head to the Dig Site and place the statue heads on the two ruined Roman statues.

3. Complete the Blood Sacrifice: Activating a repaired statue initiates a Blood Sacrifice challenge. This involves surviving against waves of powerful HVT enemies (Shock Mimics and Doppelghasts). The challenge severely limits your health to 1 HP, making armor crucial. Strategies include:

   • Solo: Use a Mutant Injection to transform into a Mangler for invincibility during the challenge.
   • Co-op: Utilize a Chopper Gunner called in by a teammate outside the Dig Site to eliminate the HVTs.
