In the highly anticipated cooperative action game, *Elden Ring Nightreign*, fans might be surprised to learn that the iconic poisonous swamps, a hallmark of From Software titles, will not be making an appearance. This revelation came directly from the project's product manager, Yasuhiro Kitao, during a recent press discussion. Although a similar environment was showcased in the game's trailer, Kitao clarified that it represents an entirely different locale.
The absence of these notorious swamps can be attributed to the lack of involvement from Hidetaka Miyazaki, the head of From Software. Known for his fondness for swamp areas, Miyazaki has been the driving force behind their inclusion in previous titles such as *Elden Ring* and the *Dark Souls* series. However, he did not participate in the development of *Elden Ring Nightreign*.

In other news, there's a glimmer of hope for fans of multiplayer gaming. While *Elden Ring Nightreign* has been confirmed to feature both solo and three-player modes, the developers initially excluded a two-player mode due to content balancing issues. However, From Software is currently reevaluating the possibility of incorporating a two-player option. No final decision has been announced yet, keeping fans eagerly awaiting further updates.
Mark your calendars: *Elden Ring Nightreign* is set to launch on May 30, 2025, and will be available on PC as well as two generations of consoles.
