FromSoftware has begun distributing confirmation emails for the highly anticipated Elden Ring Nightreign network test, generating considerable excitement among selected players. This follows the January 30th, 2025 announcement on Twitter (X). Confirmed participants will receive a second email on February 11th, 2025, containing a unique code to download the test client for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
The registration period, open from January 10th to 20th, 2025, has concluded, and FromSoftware hasn't yet indicated whether additional test opportunities will be available.
FromSoftware describes the network test as a crucial "preliminary verification" to assess online systems via large-scale load testing. This will help determine server capacity for simultaneous players. The test runs from February 14th to 16th, 2025, offering five 3-hour sessions:

Malicious actors are distributing fake Elden Ring Nightreign Network Test invites via Steam, redirecting users to phishing sites designed to steal account information and spread the scam through mass messaging. FromSoftware emphasizes that official communication regarding the test is exclusively through its website and social media channels.
Exploiting the excitement, scalpers are already attempting to profit from the limited access. Despite codes not being released until February 11th, listings for "confirmed test codes" are appearing on various online marketplaces, commanding exorbitant prices ranging from $150 to $200, with some even auctioned off.
