Leslie Benzies, the mastermind behind Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption, unveils his latest creation, MindsEye, in a captivating PlayStation State of Play showcase.
The newly released trailer offers a glimpse into this cutting-edge spy thriller, echoing familiar elements from Benzies' previous work. Expect thrilling third-person gunfights, stunning cinematic sequences, and intense drive-by shootouts. Witness the action firsthand in the cinematic trailer below.
Official press materials reveal that MindsEye centers around Jacob Diaz, a protagonist equipped with a neural implant – the MindsEye – which has fragmented his memories, leaving him with disjointed flashbacks from his military service. His quest to unravel the truth about his past pits him against a formidable AI-powered military force.
MindsEye has been in development for several years. Following his departure from Rockstar Games, Benzies established Build a Rocket Boy, collaborating with IO Interactive (Hitman developers) on this ambitious project. Described as a AAA action-adventure title, MindsEye will also integrate with the Everywhere platform, previously likened to a "high-budget Roblox" following a studio visit in 2024.
While the new trailer doesn't explicitly feature Everywhere, MindsEye promises an exhilarating action experience from a gaming legend. Anticipate its release sometime in the summer of 2025.
