Housemarque's highly anticipated new title, Saros, was unveiled at the February 2025 State of Play event, with a projected release date sometime in 2026. Discover more about this exciting new game below!
The PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Pro will be home to Saros, a fresh IP from Housemarque, building upon the success of Returnal. Expected to launch in 2026, the game stars Arjun Devraj, portrayed by actor Rahul Kohli, promising a continuation and evolution of the thrilling third-person action gameplay established in Returnal.
According to Housemarque's creative director, Gregoy Louden, Saros was conceived to allow Returnal to stand independently, establishing a new IP that iterates on Returnal's narrative and mechanics. Unlike Returnal's constantly shifting roguelike environments, Saros will introduce persistent and evolving loadouts—weapons and suits—empowering players to "Come Back Stronger" and overcome any challenges they face.
