Bloober Team, the studio behind the acclaimed Silent Hill 2 Remake, recently revealed a fascinating concept: a Lord of the Rings survival horror game. During a Bonfire Conversations podcast, game director Mateusz Lenart shared that the team explored the idea of a grim, immersive horror experience set within the dark corners of Middle-earth.
Unfortunately, securing the rights to the Lord of the Rings franchise proved unsuccessful, leaving the project unrealized. However, fans widely believe the concept held significant potential, citing the rich dark elements within Tolkien's works as ideal for crafting a chilling atmosphere.
Currently, Bloober Team's focus is on their new title, Cronos: The New Dawn, and potential future collaborations with Konami on Silent Hill projects.
