Get ready for an exciting Pokémon GO event during Fashion Week: Taken Over, running from January 15th to January 19th. This event not only brings stylish fun but also a chance to battle Team Go Rocket and rescue Shadow Palkia. You'll have the opportunity to face off against Giovanni himself, making it a thrilling challenge for all trainers. Additionally, on January 19th, you can participate in Ho-Oh’s Shadow Raid Day, where you'll have a higher chance of encountering Shiny Ho-Oh and teaching it the powerful Charged Attack, Sacred Fire.
Fashion Week also marks the debut of Shroodle and its evolution, Grafaiai. You can hatch Shroodle from 12 km Eggs, adding these new Pokémon to your collection. During the event, expect to see Team Go Rocket more frequently at PokéStops and in balloons, providing ample opportunities to use Charged TMs to help your Shadow Pokémon forget the Frustration move.
The event introduces new Shadow Pokémon, including Shadow Taillow, Snivy, Tepig, Oshawott, Trubbish, and Bunnelby. Some of these rescues might even be Shiny, adding to the excitement. You can battle these Shadow Pokémon through various Shadow Raids, and for the first time, you can use Remote Raid Passes to join these raids from anywhere.

Engage in the special research task to obtain a Super Rocket Radar, which will lead you to a confrontation with Giovanni and the chance to save Shadow Palkia. The event also features Field Research tasks that reward you with Mysterious Components, Charged TMs, and Fast TMs. Completing the special Collection Challenge will earn you Stardust and an encounter with Trubbish.
On January 19, 2025, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. local time, don't miss Ho-Oh Shadow Raid Day. This event provides extra Raid Passes and increases your chances of encountering Shiny Ho-Oh. Ho-Oh caught during this time can learn the powerful Charged Attack Sacred Fire. For an enhanced experience, you can purchase an event ticket for $5, which offers numerous additional rewards.
