Wild Rift Patch 6.1 Goes Cosmic in Mid-April

Apr 22,2025 Author: Layla

LoL: Wild Rift Patch 6.1: Ascending Stars is set to launch on April 16th, promising a cosmic transformation that extends from the menus to the battlefield. Players will embark on adventures through the Dual Nova galaxy, navigating the realms of the Challenger’s Star and Adventure’s Star.

This update introduces three new champions, each bringing unique and game-altering abilities to Wild Rift. Ryze, the Rune Mage, will unleash devastating AoE damage and enable strategic plays with his Realm Warp, allowing teammates to teleport across the map. Nocturne, the Eternal Nightmare, will sow chaos with his ability Paranoia, enveloping foes in darkness. Meanwhile, Zilean, the Chronokeeper, will manipulate time itself, slowing adversaries and reviving allies with Chronoshift.

Several champions are slated for reworks to enhance their gameplay. Garen’s Courage will now scale over time, bolstering his tankiness, while his Judgment ability will be more effective at shredding enemy armor. Ambessa will transition from the jungle to the Baron lane, with adjustments to her damage and life steal. Minor tweaks are also coming for Diana, Fiora, Jax, Sona, and Kalista.

Beyond champion updates, the patch introduces a new Bandle-inspired Rift for non-Ranked modes, featuring Enchanted Gifts that materialize through portals during the laning phase. Mages will benefit from updated items, including the new Bandle Fantasy item, which boosts burst damage, Hextech GLP800, which slows enemies with frost bombs, and Malignance, which amplifies ultimate abilities.

Ranked mode will see significant changes with the launch of the Challenger’s Star, ushering in a new season with updates to the Ranked store and streamlined methods for earning seasonal rewards. Midway through the patch, the Adventure’s Star will unlock, introducing AAAARAM—a thrilling twist on ARAM with added augments and mesmerizing galactic visuals.

The Wild Pass will feature two stunning skins: Wondertown Twisted Fate, introducing a new skinline, and Battlecast Nasus. For more details and to stay updated, visit the official LoL: Wild Rift website.
