WoW Unveils 2025

Summary

  • New 6-month WoW subscription rewards include the Timbered Sky Snake mount and Timbered Air Snakelet pet.
  • Subscribers receive the rewards by January 31, 2025, and must redeem before 2026.
  • 12-month subscribers get additional mounts and pets.

World of Warcraft enthusiasts who opt for at least a six-month subscription can now claim exciting new in-game items: the Timbered Sky Snake mount for modern WoW and the Timbered Air Snakelet pet for Classic WoW. These rewards, themed around the 2025 Zodiac Sign of the Wood Snake, are available to players who purchase bulk subscriptions or are currently subscribed, with delivery guaranteed by January 31, 2025.

Since 2018, World of Warcraft has delighted fans with bonus in-game rewards for those committing to six or more months of subscription time. These incentives typically refresh in January and July, often aligning with the lunar Zodiac calendar. For example, the Auspicious Arborwyrm was offered in 2024, celebrating the Year of the Wood Dragon.

For 2025, World of Warcraft introduces the Timbered Sky Snake, a skyriding mount for retail WoW, symbolizing the Year of the Wood Snake. Alongside it, the Timbered Air Snakelet, a matching pet for Cataclysm Classic, adds charm to your in-game collection. These items are available through a six-month subscription, but can also be purchased separately in the in-game store for $25 and $10, respectively. Notably, the Timbered Sky Snakelet for modern WoW is available on the Battle.net shop for $10, though it's not part of the subscription package.

January 2025 Six-Month WoW Subscription Offer

  • Timbered Sky Snake skyriding mount for World of Warcraft: The War Within
  • Timbered Air Snakelet, a small version of the mount, as a pet for Cataclysm Classic

Players already on a recurring subscription will also receive these rewards. Both items will be credited to eligible Battle.net accounts no later than January 31, 2025, with a redemption deadline of the same date in 2026, when they'll likely be replaced by items themed around the Year of the Fire Horse.

Those opting for a 12-month subscription receive even more perks, including the Startouched Furline, Gigantic Grrloc, and Charming Courier mounts for modern WoW, and the Lava Drake mount and Swoopy pet for Classic WoW. Additionally, these subscribers will automatically receive the six-month subscription offer in July, making it an exceptional deal for collectors of in-game mounts and pets.

According to World of Warcraft's 2025 roadmap, retail WoW is set to roll out two major patches starting with 11.1 in the coming months, with the potential addition of player housing by year's end. For Classic WoW, progression servers are advancing to Mists of Pandaria, anniversary realms will progress through vanilla and into The Burning Crusade, and Season of Discovery is reaching its final phase. With such ambitious plans across all versions of the game, securing a bulk subscription now seems like a wise move for any avid player.
