Battlefield 6 publisher EA has announced adjustments to Rush mode gameplay to improve balance between attackers and defenders.
The changes coincide with Battlefield 6's ongoing Open Beta Weekend 2, running from August 15 through August 17. While the All-Out Warfare playlist features Breakthrough, Conquest, and Rush modes, player feedback indicates Rush needs refinement.
In Rush mode, teams compete to destroy military communication stations (MCOMs) through explosives or planted charges. However, the lengthy 45-second bomb timer created disproportionate defender advantages.
DICE developers responded quickly, posting: "We've reduced the MCOM timer from 45 to 30 seconds for better attacker/defender balance." The team added they'll "continue monitoring gameplay data and make further adjustments as needed."
Beyond timer issues, players report concerns about objective spacing and spawn trapping on maps like Iberian, Empire, and Siege of Cairo. One critical post gained over 3,000 likes, stating: "Rush feels fundamentally broken with poor objective spacing and chaotic 12v12 matches. Disable it until properly reworked."
EA recently addressed cheating concerns, revealing its anti-cheat systems blocked 330,000 violations while players reported over 100,000 cheating incidents. The publisher requires Secure Boot activation and continues refining detection methods.
