Capcom Games Competition: RE ENGINE Challenge

A Collaborative Approach to Game Development

Capcom Games Competition: Student Collaboration

The competition, open to Japanese university, graduate, and vocational school students (18 years or older), challenges teams of up to 20 students to create a game using Capcom's proprietary RE ENGINE. Teams will be mentored by Capcom professionals, gaining invaluable experience in cutting-edge game development techniques. Winning teams will receive support for potential commercialization of their projects.

The application window opens December 9, 2024, and closes January 17, 2025 (unless otherwise stated).

Capcom Games Competition: RE ENGINE Capabilities

Utilizing the Powerful RE ENGINE

Developed in 2014, Capcom's RE ENGINE (Reach for the Moon Engine) powered Resident Evil 7: Biohazard and continues to drive numerous successful titles, including recent Resident Evil installments, Dragon's Dogma 2, Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, and the upcoming Monster Hunter Wilds. This constantly evolving engine provides students with a powerful tool to create high-quality games. The competition offers a unique opportunity for students to learn from industry experts and gain practical experience using this leading-edge technology.
